I’m a linguistic and cultural consultant.
First of all, I’m a translator and reviewer. My fields are non-fiction, general and academic writing (papers for publication and conferences), and fiction (novels and short stories). My favourite subjects are literature, architecture, cinema and social and political sciences, but it occurred to me to translate a mixed bunch of things, from philosophy to psychology, from tourist texts to wine lists, from fridges to glasses. I think I can define myself quite versatile.
I’m also a web copywriter. SEO and SEM are my travel companions and I know how to use apps, CRM and CMS: I made this site – and manage it – with WordPress, as well as that of Corpo60 publishing house. I write all sorts of texts in Italian, English and French.
If you wish to get a more detailed account of my skills, I can send you a standard CV authorising data treatment, but in short I can tell you that my first PC was a 286 – you know what I mean.
Finally, I’m a teacher. Usually, I teach the subjects I know best: English language and translation, especially for the humanities, architecture and cinema. But I had a stint in European funds and project management. I’ve held courses at the universities of Udine, Trieste, Pisa and Florence, and participated in many international conferences as a speaker.
I authored two literary essays and wrote many articles on translation and on British and Irish societies, and I edited a collection of Marx’s writings: if you wish, you can take a look at my publications.
